kampung SAYA  was designed as an alternative form of low cost housing in Indonesia, with a main goal of creating healthy & vibrant communities, not just physically, but also in terms of communal sense of belonging.

kampung SAYA utilizes a more fluid site plan where only 18sqm of land is provided for each house units, all of which are fully detached, and can be expanded vertically to form a two storey building with a total area of 36sqm. Open spaces are provided throughout the entire site, while a communal parking space is provided along the Main Street.

The low rise nature of kampung SAYA demands a plot of land that could be acquired at an affordable price, so when it came to site selection, an empty plot of land at the outskirts of BSDCity, an emerging new town in Tangerang, was chosen.
