MT House is a renovation project with the concept of reducing rather than expanding the existing house's footprint. The brief of this renovation project came from a client tired of all the hassle & fuss of life in the big city.

The existing house's footprint was reduced by converting what used to be a large indoor living room into an open outdoor space. As a result, a gap between the building & the site's bordering wall was formed, allowing more light & air to penetrate the house.

The adjoining rooms' interior was also modified using wood as the primary material. This, combined with the penetration of light & the play of shadows, gave a sense of warmth & coziness to the renovated area, breathing new air into an old house.
