The brief of the project is to create a complex of well-designed boarding houses located in Sukabumi, West Java.

​

The boarding houses are designed with an aim of providing well ventilated and well lit residences for the female workers from surrounding factories.

​

The theme of industrial-look design was adopted, reflecting the presence of various factories surrounding the site. Exposed local materials, such as bricks and plasters, were abundantly used.

​

The buildings are also designed with the possibility of turning them into houses in the future.

​

A number of additional buildings, such as a security post, a small cafetaria, as well as public toilet were also placed within the site.
