The aim of this Puerto Montt located project is to create a pilot project of a dense residential area that provides the necessary elements to form a humane, liveable, and sustainable habitat to form a happy, exciting, and sustainable community.
Since the project is aimed to re-accommodate the slums & squatters in the city, the aspect of affordability need to be highly considered, leading to the use of a modular system. The house unit's basic module is 3x3x3m (in line with the module of the materials we use - steel & wooden beams). The units form a compound, designed to be playful yet familiar, combining dynamic spatial experiences with common building forms & elements.
Communal spaces, including plazas, community hall, communal kitchen and dining area, are provided based on Chile’s family-oriented, wood-crafting, and food-loving cultures.
