AC House was designed for a young couple starting their new life together.
From the outset, the clients envisioned a boxy, contemporary home rooted in modernist simplicity and functionality.
Sitting on a compact corner lot, the main challenge was to maximize usable space within mandatory setbacks on two sides. We sought the most efficient spatial arrangement to fulfill all their needs, while ensuring the house remained bright and naturally ventilated throughout.
The West-facing facade posed another layer of complexity. Although the site overlooked a public garden, the harsh afternoon sun limited how much we could open the view. Our solution: slim horizontal windows paired with metal sunshades, striking a balance between light, privacy, and heat control.

The first floor adopts an open-plan layout where the living, dining, kitchen, and study flow seamlessly into one another — a continuous, borderless space filled with natural light and cross ventilation from openings on three sides.
A full-height sliding glass door connects the main living area directly to the side garden, blurring the boundary between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Upstairs, the private area consists of two connected bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom opens to views on two adjacent sides, giving a sense of openness and extending the visual space beyond the walls.
